Recycling and conservation is an ongoing campaign at ProPlastix.  We actively recycle plastic, water, metal, cardboard, and paper.  Waste is kept to a minimum.

On a continual basis we aquire the scrap from our customer's fabrication processes. Virtually no plastic ever finds its way to the landfill.

PVC by nature is one of the most highly energy and resource efficient plastic materials in use today. Making PVC compound and PVC extrusion requires less energy and resources than are needed to make the same products from any other plastic material, or from the other materials PVC has replaced, such as iron, steel, aluminum, copper, rubber, etc.

Most of the material needed to make PVC comes from the chlorine in salt water, which is virtually an inexhaustible resource, not from petroleum as many people believe.  From an environmental perspective this is a great benefit.

Conservation should be a priority for all of us.  PVC is a very durable material that seldom needs replaced and is very easily recyclable, making it a responsible choice from both an environmental and practical viewpoint.
